In 2011, The Poetry Institute will continue to bring poets together to celebrate each other’s work and to enjoy the poetry of our guest features in a warm and friendly environment.

Since 2008, the Poetry Institute-New Haven has brought together poetry lovers from across the community to enjoy vibrant, exciting evenings of poetry.  Since May 2008, these events have been held in the beautiful reading room of The Institute Library. Previously called the Word of Mouth series, in February 2010 the program and website was relaunched under the name, The Poetry Institute-New Haven. The third-Thursday reading series continues to grow in popularity, with open mics drawing audiences from across Connecticut and New England.  In 2011, pi-New Haven’s commitment to our audience will continue with expanded programs and another year of fantastic guest features.
